The Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship at Children’s Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM) offers top-of-the-line training in a premier setting. Our cutting-edge facilities, fast-paced urban environment and world-class faculty and staff prepare participants for the full breadth of general pediatric cardiology and all subspecialities, including noninvasive imaging, heart failure, heart transplant, adult congenital heart disease, electrophysiology and cardiac catheterization.

The Pediatrics Fellowship Programs at CHAM offer clinical exposure to every pediatric subspecialty and prepare graduates for their future careers in an environment that fosters rich clinical learning, scientific discourse and empathetic research. 

The Division of Cardiology at CHAM includes a modern, spacious outpatient cardiology clinic, a high-functioning exercise stress laboratory and a world-class pediatric hybrid cardiac catheterization suite, all of which are fully outfitted with top-of-the-line technology and cutting-edge equipment.

A challenging and innovative curriculum

Our three-year training program offers fellows a range of rich and varied educational opportunities, including daily conferences encompassing a core lecture series, case conferences, journal clubs and research presentations. In addition, grand rounds and conferences on cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology offer further enrichment, as do the broad range of teaching series and lectures provided at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Typical weekly lecture schedule:

  • Monday AM: Echo conference
  • Monday PM: Division grand rounds, journal club, QI and M&M
  • Monday PM: Cardiac surgery and catheterization conference
  • Tuesday AM: Biweekly cardiac MRI case conference and heart failure/transplant conference, alternating
  • Wednesday AM: Review of Congenital Cardiovascular Surgical Textbook and cardiac pathology and morphology, alternating
  • Thursday PM: Cardiac catheterization teaching conference
  • Friday AM: Echo and EP conference, alternating
