What to expect as an intern
The Neuropsychology Specialization intern will spend the full year at the Neuropsychology Assessment Service (NAS), where they will see two cases per week. The intern will also have the opportunity to supervise junior trainees in this setting. For their remaining direct patient care time, the intern will spend six months in the Adult Outpatient Psychiatry Department (AOPD) and/or the Child Outpatient Psychiatry Department (COPD), where they will carry at least three psychotherapy cases. The remaining six months will be spent completing other clinical electives within the Psychology Internship Training Program. The intern will also be responsible for carrying out a scholarly research project.
Neuropsychology Assessment Service (NAS)
The Neuropsychology Assessment Service (NAS) is an outpatient assessment program in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Montefiore Einstein Medical Center. It is located in its own building on the Moses Campus.
